not for sale

What happened to that Preacher, Who used to Preach so strong.
What happened to that singer,Who used to sing our song.
The Preacher's out selling Amway, That singer's now singing country.
They sold out what is right for what is wrong.

What happened to the church, That used to be on fire.
What happened to the voices, That sang in the heavenly chior.
Oh, The Church has now grown dead and cold,
The chior is sligent, Cause nobody goes.
They sold out to the world and their own desiers (Listen To Me)

Chorus

This heart belongs to Jesus, Cause he saved my soul from Hell.
This heart belongs to Jesus, This heart is not for sale.
Not for sale, Not for sale, No way no sir.

Well a man from California, Called a few months ago.
He said boy with your talent , We acn make alot of dough.
I said thanks for the offer it all sounds swell.
But I belong to Jesus, And I'm just not for sale.
Not for sale, I'm not for sale, No way no sir.

Well, If you're living for Jesus,Friend, They'll come a day.
That old Devil's gonna try to get you some way.
He'll try you, And temp you, with his lies straight from hell.
Just say I belong to Jesus, And Devil I'm not for sale
Not for sale, Not for sale, No way no sir.

I belong to the Lamb Of God,
He purchased me with his precious Blood,
I don't need popularity, I'd rather have what he gave to me.
I belong to the King of Kings,
He's my hope,He's my joy, He's my everything.
I belong to the Lord God Almighty,
I belong to the one who gave his life for me.

I belong to the Lamb Of God,
He purchased me with his precious Blood,
I don't need popularity, I'd rather have what he gave to me.
Some sold conviction's for compromise,
Some have sold the truth for a pack of lies.
Some have sold Testimonies for fortune and fame.
I just want to Glorify and Magnify his name

This heart belongs to Jesus, He saved my soul from Hell.
This heart belongs to Jesus, Oh this heart is not for sale.
Not for sale, Not for sale, No way no sir.
Not for sale, I'm Not for sale,
I'm not for sale, No way no sir, I'm Not for sale,
I'm Not for sale,

Gov Cup!!!!

4th year...IN A ROW...we won!! Brought the Governors Cup back to Fairbanks - where it belongs!

Battle between our UAF Nanooks and their rivals, UAA Seawolves!

The first game was in Fairbanks, so of course...I was there :). Its was an ok game. The Carlson Center was PACKED since it was the Seawolves! We won that night in overtime 2-1. Lacey made us matching shirts - on the front it said "whats a seawolf?" and on the back it says "nobody knows". L-E-G-I-T! Seriously, NOBODY knows what a seawolf is! After the game when they were heading to their bus, we *kindly* asked several players what their team mascot was. Even they don't know! How sad!

The second game was in Anchorage - sadly we didn't go. BUT, we definitely watched on TV! We scored 9 seconds into the game!!! Good job Coltin Beck! It was a pretty awesome game. So great a piece of the glass fell out and one of the refs got sandwiched between players!

We won that game 3-1....which meant the Cup was ours!

GOOO NOOKS!

{that's what grace is for}

Is there something in your way?
A battle you can't win?
Do you struggle day to day
With thoughts of giving in?
There's no reason for despair
He has walked this way before
With compassion flowing free,
He's there for you and me
That's what grace is for.

When all hope fades away
And prayers are only words
Just reach out in faith and know
He's already heard
He'll mend your wounded heart
Peace He will restore
His arms are open wide
Walk through mercy's door
That's what grace is for

When the answer just won't come
And your soul cannot be still
When it's all been said and done
Rest in the Father's will
There's a multitude of sins
Covered by the blood that poured
Blood that cleanses every stain
So that none remain
That's what grace is for

When all hope fades away
And prayers are only words
Just reach out in faith and know
He's already heard
He'll mend your wounded heart
Peace He will restore
His arms are open wide
Walk through mercy's door
That's what grace is for

Blondness + School

Not sure how to break this news to you....without putting you in complete shock. I suppose i'll just say it how it is. <breathing hard> here it goes, I sometimes have very blonde moments. Phew! There, I said it! Ok, now that we have that established, i'll tell you the rest of my story.

Usually when one of those above listed moments happen, they are pretty spread out. Sometimes even by entire DAYS! Shocker huh?! Well, last week at school I had several of them at one time. Craziness! Maybe I shall tell them to y'all in a list form?

1.) Getting lost. Ok, I know, I know...y'all are thinking "how on earth can she get lost? She lives in FAIRBANKS, ALASKA!". Well, believe it or not I have absolutely NO sense of direction. So lost I was on my way to school. THANKFULLY, I had a life-saving friend with me (yes Crystal, that is you).

2.) Falling. So after we make it to CTC, we are headed to class which is on the 3rd floor. As were walking up the steps, I fall. GOING UP THE STEPS!!! How that happens, I have no clue. But it happened.

3.) Wrong floor. Haha not much to expound on this one. This probably doesn't really sound funny to you, but it was hilarious to me. Doesn't take much to get me laughing. Anywho, I tried getting off the steps on the 2nd floor.

4.) Laughing. Now that we were well into class, there I am...sitting and paying attention to the teacher...well sorta. Like I said before, It doesn't take much to make me laugh. Actually, it takes absolutely nothing to make me laugh. And when I start, I have a VERY hard time stopping. So there I am..sitting there and BAM all at once, I start cracking up......OVER NOTHING!!!! Eventually I controlled myself....which was a good thing. That isn't the greatest place to laugh. Good thing I had a computer screen to hide behind! :).

5.) Two-Way. Class is over and now it's time to head to take Crystal back to her car. So there I was, driving downtown....having no clue where I was going. Like most downtown's, there are several one way streets. Well, I thought I was traveling on one of those one-way streets when my life-saving partner informed me that I was definitely driving on the wrong side of the road. Not good. But what else was there to do then to LAUGH?! I'm pretty sure I was laughing at myself for driving on the wrong side of the road and STILL not knowing where I was going.

All that to say, It was a very interesting evening!! We both made it back ALIVE and WELL!

peace and love blog reader :)

{my home}

Where is it where you wear a tshirt at anything above zero?Where is it where you see moose in your front yard? Where is it where you have a plug hanging out your car and you have to plug it in? Where is it where you see a a real bear at the library? Where is it where you can look out your window and have an amazing view of beautiful mountains? Where is it where you get to see Gods handiwork picture perfect? Where is it where it can go from 20 above to 20 below in just a few days? Where is it where you go days without seeing light or days with no darkness? Where is it where you have unlimited fishing and hunting? Where is it where you've seen Sarah Palin multiple times? Where is it where you have villages with lost people who need to hear the gospel? Where is it where you can drive 60 mph on pure ice? Where is it where you have to drive 8 hours to the next big town? Where is it where you get paid to live there? Where is it where you can play hockey outside at -20? Where is it where lower 48ers look at you funny when you say you're from here? Where is it where you live your life as normal at -50? Where is it where there are a million tourist every summer? Where is it where your only mall consist of a large hallway? Where is it where 70 is HOT? Where is it where you don't sleep in the summer because it’s too short to miss a minute of it? Where is it where it takes only a 15-minute drive to "get away from it all"? Where is it where you don't understand what's so exciting about seeing a moose wandering through the middle of town? Where is it where a snowmachine is something you ride, not something that makes snow? Where is it where you go to school, work, or both in the dark and come out in the dark? Where is it where you look up in the sky and see the northern lights and it still amazes you? Where is it where you can say you live in the biggest state in the US (even bigger than TX! AP)? Where is it where you go hiking in the pitch black. At midnight. For fun?!
And the list goes on. Yep, that's my home! Alaska! And I love it!!

What do you think of when you think of Alaska? If you're not from here I'm sure it is something like this: polar bears, cold, snow, igloos, Mt. McKinley, Eskimos, dogsleds, hockey, more cold, Alaska pipeline  moose, Sarah Palin, more cold :) and many other things I'm sure! Ok, sure all those things are true...well, I've never seen a polar bear. Wait! Yes I have...at the Anchorage zoo (but that doesn't count). Needless to say, Alaska is mucho more than what you may think :). I may not live here the rest of my life, but it will always be home. I have no clue where the last 11 years went! It doesn't feel that long since we packed up in the states and started our 3,000 mile trek up here! I'll admit, there are days where I wished I didn't live here....like -50 days :). But, there are definitely more pros than cons! If there was one major con it would definitely be not living near family. Of course I have my parents and siblings, but no other family. That is probably one of the hardest things.

I'm thankful God moved our family up here. I have a awesome church, amazing friends and wouldn't trade it for the world!

To all my non Alaskan friends....come on up and see me!!!!!!! Come in the summer, that way you'll come again :) haha

P.S. I wouldn't recommend playing hockey at -20! Bad idea! Oh! Also, I honestly did see a bear at the library!! It was pretty cool and they wouldn't let us out of the building.

P.S.S. you get used to the cold :) for real
